First post!
Hello,
Thank you for viewing my blog!
I've had a lot of people ask me about my glofish aquariums and I would like to take the time to create this blog and answer a lot of your questions!
Q: What are glofish?
A: Glofish are commonly tetras or danios that have a distinct color pigment that can glow in bright florescent colors under certain light.
Q: Are they genetically modified or injected with dye?
A: No, they are bred from the offspring that were developed 10 years ago.
Q: What size tank should I get?
A: You can get the tanks with accessories as an all in one package that the glofish company provides, or you can use any size tank you want!
Q: How many glofish can I put in my tank?
A: One inch of fish per gallon is a good rule of thumb. But other things can alter how many fish per tank you can have, such as,
- shape of tank
-types of fish, ( some are schooling fish which require more quantities) but we'll get more into that later.
-size of tank.
Q: How long do glofish live for?
A: It has been said that glofish can live for a few years!
If I get more questions, I'll be sure to update this section!
If you have a glofish tank and you would like me to share your picture and set up, please email me a picture and description at glofishtankblog@yahoo.com and I will share it !
